In my experience, I've found teams who are aware of and measure flow efficiency sacrifice it at the expense of actual delivery of value. I agree that none of these 'flow' metrics are a replacement for that. I encourage teams to focus more on work item age from a flow perspective, as well as right-sizing. These are much easier to grasp and don't require massive diligence on getting your data/workflow 'accurate'.
